Wisconsin Readiness Equity Network (WREN) is a collaborative research network of educators from Beloit, Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee, and Racine focused on equalizing early education opportunities. Network participants identified problems of practice and chose play and transitions from 4K to Kindergarten as research and practice foci. This year we will develop videos of high-quality play-based teaching in 4K and 5K (in partner districts) and use these both in interviews with teachers and administrators, and as a foundation for professional development.
